Tusanga Mail ^BETA

Overview

Tusanga Mail is a mail service where your mails are encrypted when stored on our server. It works in such a way, that no one can decrypt and read your mails except if they have your password. This also means, that we can't read the mails that have already been saved on our server. This should in theory prevent hackers and thieves from reading your mails even if they hack or steal our server.

Your communication with us when sending or retrieving mails are always encrypted. We are configured to receive encrypted mails for you but will also accept unencrypted one.

There are lots of bits and pieces involved. Not all components have been implemented as this is a beta version. As long as testing goes on, we log quite intensively. We use this information to troubleshoot and fine-tune the system. Having this information is detrimental to ensuring your privacy. After testing, we intend to reduce the logging to an absolute minimum to protect your information. At this point in time we will also delete old logs.

You will get:

• Free email account xxxxx.yyyyy@tusanga.com.
• Individual emails up to 1 MB.
• Total space for emails up to 100 MB.
• POP3/POP3s access to you emails.
• Spam filtering of incoming and outgoing mails.
• Anti-virus filtering of incoming and outgoing mails.

You will not get:

• IMAP4/IMAP4s access to your mails.
• Webmail access to your mails.
• Forwarding.
• Multiple folders.
• Free access to spam people. Account is rate limited and misuse will resolve in termination of account.
• Free access to coordinate criminal activities. Misuse will resolve in termination of account.
• Password reset - this is not possible with the encryption provided.
