Short introduction 📕

The following is a short introduction to the Tusanga Calculator.
Use = or := for variable assignment.

Input:
a := 1 + 2 * 8


Input:
b = 3 - 5 * 17


Use = or := for function assignment. Use semicolon to separate multiple statements.

Input:
f(x) = (x+1)/2 ; f(19)


Input:
g(x) := x^2 - 5 * 6 + 2


Use == for equality relation and equations. The result is a boolean value (true or false).

Input:
2 + 5 == 7


Solve equation using built-in function.

Input:
solve ( 2+k == 25, k)


Plot function.

Input:
plot( fun, x^2 - 4*x + 2, x == [-4..5] )


Define numbers in vector and plot data series.

Input:
v := { 4,3,2,7,6,4,5 } ; plot( v )


Define matrix and extract row before transposing matrix.

Input:
M := { 1,2,3 ; 4,5,6 } ; r := M[2,...] ; M`


Add closed and half-open intervals.

Input:
[1..4] + ]2..9]


Get symbolic or numeric results.

Input:
2 * pi ; 2.0 * pi


Convert number to hexidecimal. Convert octal and binary numbers to decimal.

Input:
183 in hex ; 0o21 ; 0b1101
